ADRENALINE JUNKIES IN SNOWDONIA

Extreme sports are popular all over the world. A lot of companies offer one-day "taster" sessions for beginners and here in England there are outdoor spots like the one in the video to break away from routine and get the adrenaline rush many thrill seekers are desperately looking for.

After watching the video it is time to build up your vocabulary. Here are some extreme activities you might not have heard of. Find out what they consist of and learn about this topic.

- SCAD diving: either jumping off a tall building and landing in a large net or diving into fast-moving water.

- Zorbing: either jumping out of an aeroplane and falling into water or rolling down a hill inside a giant inflatable ball.

- Zap cat riding: either riding very fast in a small light boat that jumps over waves or riding very fast on a motorbike over rough ground.

- Cable skiing: either being pulled fast down a mountain on skis or being pulled fast along water on water skis.

- Rapid running: either being pulled along behind a car while on a skateboard or riding in a small boat along a very fast-flowing part of a river.
